With this year’s breaking news that the Ringling Brothers Circus is shutting its Big Top for good, many parents, children and circus lovers are left wondering what the future of the circus may hold. Luckily for Sarasota, the rich circus heritage of Southern Florida lives on as Circus Sarasota celebrates its twentieth anniversary of Big Top shows with this year’s Winter Performances!
All the Details on Circus Sarasota 2017
Beginning Friday, February 10th, and continuing through Sunday, March 5th, Circus Sarasota will be dazzling locals and visitors alike with its amazing acrobats, majestic animals, and shocking daredevils. Complete with live music entertainment, Circus Sarasota provides the perfect opportunity to unplug and enjoy the living world.
Years prior have featured Sarasota’s own sensational stars Bello Nock and Nik Wallenda. This time around, the circus legend Nik Wallenda will return, headlining the show. In addition to Wallenda, come prepared to encounter circus stars from around the world. Munch on some delicious concessions and let the show unfold before your eyes!
The Big Top is open for performances on weeknights at 7:00 PM. Wednesdays and Saturdays have a matinee at 2:00 PM as well as a night show at 7:00 PM, while Sunday showtimes are 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. You can purchase tickets at the Big Top Box Office or by phone or electronically. If you choose to pre-purchase online or by phone, you will still need to pick them up at the Will Call station at the Box Office before the start of the show. Big Top Box Office hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Last year’s tickets sold out, so reserve soon! Also, the first five performances come with a built-in twenty percent discounted rate.
