As the holiday season falls upon us, we hear songs about white Christmases and winter wonderlands. While Sarasota may not see its share of snow days, a warm Christmas certainly has its perks! Sarasota Jungle Gardens keeps its doors wide open for you and the family to enjoy a jungle Christmas with their annual Holiday Lights Spectacular!
Details on Sarasota’s Holiday Lights Spectacular
Known for their pink flamingos, petting zoo, animal shows, and stunning gardens, the family-owned and operated Sarasota Jungle Gardens has been amusing locals and visitors since 1939. As per their December tradition, the gardens get a beautiful makeover full of dazzling light displays. Bring the whole family or a special someone for a walk down Candy Cane Lane. Take photos with Santa, or enjoy a variety of family activities. You can even roast some marshmallows for a warm holiday treat while listening to some festive music. Even better, check out the two live music shows each night. Come round the bird pavilion at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM for some great entertainment!
The Holiday Lights Spectacular kicks off the evening of Friday, December 9th, and Saturday, December 10th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event runs the Friday and Saturday of the following two weeks. If you’re looking for a post-Christmas activity during the holidays, you can visit the Holiday Lights Spectacular the entire week after Christmas Day leading up to New Years’ Eve. Tickets run a bit cheaper for children under the age of thirteen, and children two years and younger visit for free, making this a great place to take the entire family. Simply find the day that works best, and you’re in a for a night that will lift your spirits with the perfect dose of holiday cheer!
