Discover More About the Jazz at Two Concert Series

First, let’s start with a bit of history. The Jazz Club of Sarasota was founded in 1980 by Hal Davis. Today, the non-profit organization has over 600 members! In addition to supplying our city with high quality jazz, the club supports aspiring middle school, high school and college students who are serious about jazz education through their Jazz Club Scholarship Fund.

With Ed Rolnick’s smooth vocals and saxophone, Matt Bokuluc’s keys, Peter Innocente’s bass and Johnny Moore’s drums, the quartet promises a solid afternoon of quality entertainment. Come prepared to hear GAS, bossa nova, ballads and jazz standards.

Next up, Kitt Moran will perform on Friday, January 13th. Admired for her stunning performances in New York City, New Jersey and Atlantic City, she also has eight years of live experience at Merv Griffin’s Resorts International under her belt. Local jazz enthusiasts may have already spied her performing in Sarasota, Venice and Port Charles with her pianist husband, Mike Moran.

Last but not least, Friday, January 27th, marks the show featuring Mary Rademacher Reed. In 2006, this music artist received the West Michigan Jazz Society’s award for Musician of the Year. Known for her rapport with the audience, her performances dazzle with charm, fun and humor. She’s even entertained former presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush! For Jazz at Two, she’ll be accompanied by favorite Eddie Tobin.

The Jazz at Two Concert Series will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, which is located at 3975 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, Florida. Tickets are $10 for Jazz Club of Sarasota members or $15 for non-members. For more information, please call 941-366-1552, or you can visit the Jazz Club of Sarasota’s website.
